BEAT THE HEAT 2009June 23rd, 2009
A mass amount of Olive team riders like Geoff Strelow, Ben Loates, Timmy Oberg, Beau Larson, Timmy Pankewich,and Josh Peterson will be attending and competing in western Canada’s largest outdoor skate competition in Med Hat. JP, who got third last year, is heard to be practicing the ’slick dolphin’ maneuver, it’s underground, so you’ll just have to come and see. FIRST PLACE 5 GRAND!!! Let’s Do it! Good Luck Boys!!!
Shredz “Hey That’s Rad”June 11th, 2009
If your in Sylvan for the weekend, checking out all the babes at the water slides, make sure you go down the street and stop by Shredz Skate Shop. Ran and operated by local Chris Sereda, this is the one shop in town that knows how to do it right. They first opened up shop in Drumheller, which was followed by the Sylvan shop. A year and a half ago they opened up a shop in Cochrane, run by OG Sylvan loc Sam Stuart. Since then they have been pushing their local scenes, doing everything they can to keep skateboarding alive and strong. Two months ago, Chris moved his Sylvan location down the block to a better building, and by the looks of it, they did a great job renovating. So go in, say hi to Chris, and support your local shop.
Everyone’s favorite Centre rep, Syd Clark, aka DJ SYDCEE, repping the turn tables at the grand opening.

Always A FirstJune 10th, 2009
There’s always a first for everything… this would be my first post on the olive site. Fortunately, after reluctantly failing many times trying to complete a single post, I successfully intergigafied a blog update. The victory was sweet, like when Mario finally gets to the last castle where Princess Peach is awaiting and you no longer have to battle any more Bowsers (original nintendo), but short lived as I was flustered and my eyes itched from looking at the computer screen for 2 hours.
I don’t know about you guys but I love summer and as the season of glory goes on, more and more shall be posted (mostly to do with skateboarding) but for now seeing as how my computer is lacking on radness for the time being… here is a couple cool guy photos of my best friend, and fellow teammate, Ryan Fyfe-Brown. (Can you guys guess who posted this?)

Vegetarian Sandwich PleaseJune 7th, 2009
I would like to give a shout out to flip-outs. I’ve been working on flip-outs, and I think they are very cool. they’re like the really cool guy in high school that many people don’t get to know because they think he’s like too cool, but then if you meet him he’s really down to earth…So ya.
I would also like to give a shout out to Timmy Oberg, who I beat two times in a row as SKATE on the box at kask today. Keep trying there little ginger bum! ALso, I watched our timmy oberg nail a fricken darkslide…ON PURPOSE!! TO FAKIE!! that’s when you know you’ve really stepped it up a level. darkslide dogs.
I would like to give a shout to vegetarian sandwiches, for being fakers. But really, if you toast a bread, put mayo and then white cheddar slice and a tomato with salt and peppah on top, that is a dope vegetarian sandwich. But some people don’t like it because of the cheese being dairy. lame.
