Hey That's Rad!
Shredz “Hey That’s Rad”

If your in Sylvan for the weekend, checking out all the babes at the water slides, make sure you go down the street and stop by Shredz Skate Shop. Ran and operated by local Chris Sereda, this is the one shop in town that knows how to do it right. They first opened up shop in Drumheller, which was followed by the Sylvan shop. A year and a half ago they opened up a shop in Cochrane, run by OG Sylvan loc Sam Stuart. Since then they have been pushing their local scenes, doing everything they can to keep skateboarding alive and strong. Two months ago, Chris moved his Sylvan location down the block to a better building, and by the looks of it, they did a great job renovating. So go in, say hi to Chris, and support your local shop.
Rumor “Hey! That’s Rad.”

So I was chattin’ on the phone with Mike the other day, and after talking to him for a bit it really started to sink in that the guys at Rumor know how to run a legit skate/snow shop.
Rumor has been around a couple years now, and are more than just doing their part in hyping up the skate scene in Leduc.
Co-owners Mike Maurer and Dean Piquette are going above and beyond the normal call of duty and building a family that cares about the scene, although a few years ago they probrably didn’t imagine they would be doing what they’re doing now. Dean has a Law degree from the U of A. After pursuing that career for a while he realized he was much happier being apart of something he was hyped on. Maurer has been around the Edmonton scene for years working in different shops and running his own board company. The guys in Leduc should thank their lucky stars that these two decided to take a different path and run their own shop.
Rumor is a rad shop that has been supporting Olive since the day they opened, so we just wanted to tell them..Hey! That’s Rad.
Check out their shop site HERE .

Boarding House “Hey! that’s Rad.”
Boarding has has been stepping up as the Pinnacle Shop in Southern Alberta carrying Olive gear. We just wanna give out a huge “hey! that’s rad” to the Boarding House and how they’ve been supporting us. It’s a dope shop in Medicine Hat that 100 percent supports Canadian and Local skateboarding, and for us that gets us hyped. Scott Dent, the owner of Boarding House, for years has been putting on contests and giving local companies the opportunity to flourish. We at the Olive Family are stoked to say that we see Scott and the Boarding House as Part of the Olive Family and tell anyone else “if you love olives, you love the boarding house” so go there and buy skate crap and say hi to Scott and Derek. Go lurk the site you bums…right HERE.
