Small Town Lurkers Day2
There’s something about small towns, for some reason they end up getting the best skate parks. Maybe because there is nothing else to do, so they get them done right. Invemere BC is no exeption to the rule. We ended up there on day 2, but first, a recap of day 1 with photos.
Day 1
The Loates’ and I drove to Calgary to pick up Beau, Geoff, and Jordan who happend to fly into Calgary from visiting his girl in Kamloops. We all met up at Millinuim skatepark for some warm up fun. Beau thought it might be a good warm up to try a rock fakie on the freshly painted 15 foot pipe.
He ended up running out of one of them and rolling his ankle a little bit. He’s fine, just keeping off the front foot flip tricks for a couple days.
Beau with a fun power slide out front his home in Calgary. We went to do some street skating in Calgary and after that, made our way to Radium Hot Springs for the night.
Day 2
In the morning the boys took a dip in the hot springs to wake up, Jordan’s first shower in 4 days.
After the boys got all cleaned up we made our way to Invemere. One of the best things about this trip has been not having any clue what the next town will hold for you. Invemere is one of those places you’d never expect to have a great park.

Warming up.
Hard at work filming.
Mr.Loates with a kickflip.
Mrs.Loates with a Prego Pop Shuv.
Even filmers get to shred sometimes, crooked grind. After some wicked dinner at a local Scottish pub, we drove to Cranbook to stay the night.
Some late night lurking for street spots. Check back tomorrow for more updates from the road.
